More gold, cash tumble out of Sai Baba's cupboards

Hyderabad, July 19 (IANS) Cash, gold and silver continue to tumble out of cupboards in the late Sathya Sai Baba's residential quarters in Puttaparthi town of Andhra Pradesh, with valuables worth nearly Rs.59 crore being found so far in three rounds of counting.

Yamuna to become national river if BJP returns at Centre

Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand), Jun 16 (PTI) BJP President Nitin Gadkari today said that the Yamuna would be declared as a national river if the party comes to power at the Centre.
"Yamuna river would also be given the status of national river if BJP comes to power at the Centre," Gadkari, who landed at Kharsali near Yamunotri temple, said.
Gadkari is on a three-day visit to the state during which he along with his family would undertake pilgrimage of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, who also accompanied Gadkari, announced to construct a ropeway between
Kharsali and Yamunotri temples in the town.
He also announced to provide Rs one lakh for the construction of a banquet hall at Kharsali and Rs 10 lakh for other development projects in the area.
